Thomas Curtis - Head Chef
After taking over the reins in September 2014, Thomas has pushed to create a diverse and ever changing menu to suit as many tastes as possible. Using both modern and traditional techniques; as well as sourcing fantastic local produce. He trained locally under chefs Mat Tucker and Richard Lenik. Never expect to see a menu staying longer than six weeks! He only has one signature dish, mainly due to demand, and that is the White Chocolate & Milkyway cheesecake!
Jules Kirby - Sous Chef
Jules joined our team in late 2014, and hasn't budged since. He offers a wide array of skills and ideas. Can always been seen researching and perusing the web for new techniques and flavour combinations. He learnt the ropes in a few local eateries, most recently at Fat Lils in witney and also Hacketts Food & Drink.
Eva Holifield - Kitchen Porter
The main cog in the kitchen. Without Eva, the place would struggle to stay afloat, Behind every good chef should be a great Kitchen Porter! She is never short of a smile and is a fantastic person to have in our team. A great personality!
With nearly 30 years experience in the trade; Amanda Is the think tank behind all our front of house decisions and is also our landlady. Having gained experience in a multitude of pubs. She was once one of the youngest area managers in the country, during the mid nineties, for Morrells Brewery in Oxford. This is now her second stint at the White Hart having left 9 years ago after a very successful time, now she's back; she will be looking forward to going even further with the business.
The fan favourite! Debbie is a minster girl through and through; incredible with the locals and a fountain of local knowledge (gossip)... She's been with us from the start and helped immensely with the transition period. A familiar face most lunchtimes with the customers. She has, unfortunately, been on the wrong end of a few scare pranks by our professional kitchen team... She has vowed to exact revenge on them one day!
